Whenever possible we recommend Veneer Raised Panels for their aesthetic, functional and economic advantages. Still, we recognize that some customers demand “solid wood”. Almost certainly this is based on predisposition, habit or tradition. More often than not, if asked to pick between a job produced with solid wood and one produced with veneer raised panels, customers will choose doors with veneer panels if they are not told beforehand which is which. Still, the demand remains, though it is gradually giving way to the forces of economy, ecology and visual evidence.
